Voices against violence-April is sexual abuse awareness month

This is the month for sexual abuse awareness. We should all join in this effort to combat one of the most tragic of all abuses. I write about this on Examiner.com as the "Abusive Relationships" examiner.

I am very new to this blogging thing, and I am testing the waters because I don't have any idea about what I am doing. But whatever it is, I want to do it well.

Right now I am a caring mother of two teenaged boys, ages 14 and 17 and we live in central New Hampshire. I am also studying online to obtain my Bachelors degree in journalism. When I am not doing those things, I am either on Facebook, or reading my magazines, which include Time, Self, Rolling Stone and a lot of fashion mags. I am what they call a "fashionista." Anything fashionable that excites me is subject to be blogged about, so maybe I should have started a fashion blog.

But domestic violence is more important. People have often asked me why I never became a model, and I always considered that vocation a little too self-centered. To each his/her own! Life and let live. So with that, let's get this blogging started!
